We Offer

Net Metering

  • How it Works: Under Net Metering, any excess energy generated by your solar system that isn’t consumed on-site is fed back into the grid. Credits for this excess energy accumulate in your account, and they can be used in future months if your energy consumption exceeds what your solar system generates.
  • Billing: You’re only billed for the net amount of electricity you consume from the grid (consumed energy minus exported energy).
  • No Payment for Excess: Unused credit accumulates over time, but there is no cash payment for excess electricity at the end of the term.

Net Accounting

  • How it Works: Similar to Net Metering, Net Accounting allows you to feed excess energy to the grid. However, the main difference is how credits and payments are handled.
  • Billing: For each kilowatt-hour (kWh) exported to the grid, you earn a credit at a specified rate (generally lower than the rate at which you buy electricity). If your monthly solar generation exceeds your consumption, you receive credits in rupee value, which are subtracted from your next bill. If you consume more than you generate, you pay the remaining balance at the retail rate.
  • Payment for Excess: Any excess energy is credited at a fixed rate but not paid in cash.

Net Plus

  • How it Works: This scheme separates solar generation and grid usage entirely. All electricity generated by your solar system is exported to the grid, and you buy back electricity for consumption separately.
  • Billing: Solar-generated energy is purchased by the CEB/LECO at a fixed rate per kWh. You pay for any grid energy you consume at the standard rate.
  • Payment for Excess: At the end of each month, you receive a payment for the total energy exported at the agreed-upon rate, which can be an additional revenue stream.
